Castle Age: The FAQ

Some people are neglecting the faq sections of every game they sign up, some of them already know the do’s and don’ts of a game. I say, it would be better to read them than become a stupid on the game. Well you can say that I am one of those people who sometimes neglect reading the FAQ/Help or Guide of a game. Sometimes it’s so boring to read, but in order for you to understand the Rules of the game, one should never forgot checking it.

Some people don’t need to read the Help/FAQ of a game. Usually, some games have the same rules, but if this is your first time registering to that game then it’s better to read the Rules/Guide.

Okay, here’s the first topic that I think can help some of you out there who like to play Facebook games like Castle Age. Even though I’m level 86 in here, this maybe the first time I’m going to read their FAQ section to help some new users out there. I’ll add more information like tips and tricks, If I found some. XD

CASTLE AGE

-Help/FAQ-

ENERGY

-If you wanted to complete a quest/s, you need energy. Each quest has its own specific amount of energy needed in order for you to complete it. Don’t worry much if you run out of energy, you won’t be needing a refill immediately unless you wanted to and you’ve got a pending monster battle. The energy recharges every 2:15 seconds, though it takes time for your energy to refill if you’re a high level character. Then if you can’t wait for your energy to be filled again you can visit the Oracle, she provides a full energy refill in return for a favor points (game cash).

But if you cannot afford that, you may want to upgrade or increase the stats of your maximum energy in the Keep page. 

HEALTH

-Of course everyone knows what “Health” means in the game. It’s your life points, if your health turns to zero then you can’t fght and you need to heal or refill it again. Here in Castle Age when your health drops to zero your opponent will receive an increase to their kill count oor vice versa your kill count will increase too. If you’re out of health you can buy or refill your health at the Keep page. The cost/refill will depend on how much health did you loose. You can also increase your maximum health stats every time you level up.

STAMINA

-Stamina is used up when you battle. It’s also used every time you fight or summon a monster. Each battle fight against another player will costs you 1 point and 5 points for fighting summon monsters. The stamina also recharges every 5:00 minutes. You can increase your maximum stamina in the Keep page every time you level up.

EXPERIENCE

-You can gain experience by doing quests, challenge other players to combat, join raids, or start a deathrune campaign and fight in the arena battle. The experienced bar is located at the top right corner of the game where it shows how much experience you currently have and how long will it take for you to advanced to the next level. Once you level up, you will be rewarded with 5 upgrade points that you can use in the Keep page and distributed it to upgrade your stats.

QUESTS

In order for you to progress, you must do the quests and you can earn a gold and experience. The quest is divided into multiple stages or world, so every stage you cleared will open up a new world. Every stage consists of (5) five regular quests and one special mission. In order for you to progress to the next world, you need to earn an influence to the first (2) two quests sometimes you need to complete 100% of that stage so that you can move on to the next world.

BATTLES

-Fight other players online by going to the Battle page. Once in the Player Battle page you will have to choose which combat you will go.

Invading - Invading will attack the opposing player with your whole army. One soldier, one item, and one magic spell are used to the fight for each army member you have. For every 5-army members you have, one of your generals will also join the fight. Invading favors players with a large army count, and an even distribution of items, soldiers, and number of generals. Your attack and defense stats may also drastically affect the battle.

Dueling - Duels pit your general against the opposing player's general. Equip your best general to duel. Duels favor players that invest in a few, but high quality equipment, a better general. Your attack and defense stats will greatly affect battles.

HEROES

-As you progress in game you are obliged to hire a heroes, but you may only use one General at a time. You can buy them at the Heroes page or when you’re on a quest and required a different General.

TOWN

The town page is divided into four sections. The town is where you buy soldiers, items, and land. You can also stats on the magic spells that you've collected during your quests.

Soldiers - soldiers give you extra attack and defense during battles. Each army member you have will be equipped with a soldier when invading. Soldiers are not used during duels.

Black Smith - Vulcan the blacksmith can forge some higher quality equipment than what your soldiers normally use. His services are somewhat expensive however, and are best used to equip your generals for duels when you are at a lower level. Only one item is equipped per soldier during Invading. The game will automatically choose the highest defense items to use for defending, and the highest attack items for attacking.

Magic - Magic spells can only be obtained through questing. This page allows you to view the magic spells that you have acquired. There will be more quests to obtain spells from in the future.

Land - Land allows you to earn income hourly. Invest early to earn a lot of gold for more soldiers, items and magic later on. The price of land increases as you own more land.

ORACLE

In this page, you can purchase some special items, purchase refills, and buy some general, magic spells and soldiers. The Oracle can also grant you a wish in exchange for a favor points

DEMI POWERS

Once every 24 hours you can receive a blessing from a Demi Power. Each blessing you receive will increase one of your stats: health, attack power, defense, stamina, or energy. You may trade blessings later for unique epic items as well as undertake special quests given by each Demi Power.

KEEP

The Keep page is divided into three sections, stats, treasury, and comments. The Stats section is where you can see your stats, upgrade your stats if you have extra skill points, view gifts that were given to you as well as consumables(energy refill potions that were given to you by other players), view the soldiers, items, magic, generals and land that you have collected throughout your adventures.

Treasury - The Treasury widget is located below your stats box in the Keep page. For a 10% fee, you can hide your wealth at the treasury. Hiding your gold means that other attacking players cannot rob you of your well-earned money. 

Comments - You can access comments via the comments tab. The comments page is where you can post a comment to other people. You can also send them gifts in this page.

ARMY

A large army count allows you to utilize all of your items, soldiers and magic spells when invading. You may also give your army members gifts, peace offerings and consumable potions. The comments section allows you to interact with your army. If you like the game, help spread the word!

BATTLE RANKS

Win Battles in the Battle Page to earn Battle Points. Opponent's rank determines how many Battle Points you will gain or lose. The higher your opponent's rank relative to yours, the more points you gain for winning. Losing battles will subtract Battle Points from you. You can move down in Ranks, but never in Tiers. Great rare rewards for achieving tiers are unlocked for purchase in the Soldiers, Blacksmith, and Magic page upon achieving ranks. Check out the page Battle Rank for more information.

ALCHEMY

Collect items through gifting, quests and the town to combine and create rare and unique weapons, magic spells and units. Go to the Alchemy page to check out recipes available to you! 

RAIDS

Raid Help: 

Raids are multi-part battles that you and your friends can participate in. Click on the "Call to Arms" button to gather your friends to join in on the raids. In some cases performing a Call to Arms will summon a Siege Weapon to help defeat your adversaries. 

The Raid party must defeat all enemies or complete all objectives at a checkpoint (e.g. Deathrune Fortress, Death Gates, etc.) before advancing to the next checkpoint. The number of adversaries remaining at a checkpoint is displayed within the mini-map. When all checkpoints have been completed, you will be victorious! 

Succeeding in Raids: 

You can choose to attack specific adversaries by browsing through the battle list. When you have found a foe you would like to attack, click on the "Invade" or "Duel" button. Invade and Duel can be toggled by clicking on the "Duel/Invade" button. However, choose carefully as you can be defeated. If you are defeated, you will still use your stamina. But if you defeat your enemy, you will be awarded with gold, experience, and a chance for more Battle Hearts. Your chance to win Battle Hearts will be determined by the battle rank of the individual you attack. Also be wary as there is a chance for your adversary to attack you first, forcing you to defend. There is also a chance that stronger adversaries may come to the aid of weaker foes. Your victory will also count towards your final rewards. 

Loot: 

At the end of each checkpoint, you will be presented with a button to collect rewards for that checkpoint. The rewards awarded to you at each checkpoint depends on your level of participation for that specific checkpoint. The more adversaries you defeat at each checkpoint, the better rewards you can get. 

In addition to epic weapons and items, you will also be awarded "Battle Hearts". These Battle Hearts can be traded in on the Alchemy page for powerful weapons and magics.

MONSTER BATTLES

Creating: 

Monsters require alchemy to summon. See the Alchemy page for the recipe to create the monster. You can get the necessary items to summon the monster by receiving gifts from your friends. 

The monster you get is based on the level of the person who summons the monster. The higher the level of the summoner, the tougher the monster will be to defeat. 

Loot: 

Gold, demi points, and experience may be rewarded on each attack. The Rewards must be collected from a slain monster within three days. If the rewards are not claimed within three days of the death of the monster, the rewards will be forfeited. 

Epic item drops from monsters can sometimes be combined into Ultimate Epic items. See the Alchemy page for recipes. 

Attacking and Damage: 

Each successful attack on the monster requires 1 Stamina. If you miss or the monster evades your attack, no stamina will be taken. 

The more total damage you do to the monster, the better chance you will have to get better rewards. Keep in mind the faster you kill the monster, the better chance you will have to get better rewards. Damage done depends on your attack skill. Damage taken depends on your defense skill. 

Team-play: 

Players currently fighting the dragon may assist in any attack. Lower level players will tend to shoot volleys of arrows to assist in your damage. Higher level players help in a variety of other ways. 

Monster Classes: 

Players can summon Epic Boss fights, Epic Team fights or Epic World fights. Boss fights usually involve fewer people and is good for those that don't have that many friends on Castle Age. Team Fights involve a bigger party, and Epic World fights involve over 100 players to take down. Epic World Fights also do not have the restriction that you have to be in another person's army to attack their monster. 

Time and Joining Epic World Monster Fights:

Upon summoning, players will have 7 days to slay the Epic World Monster. Epic World Monster fights can have a maximum on 100 participants, with specific participant limits based on a player\'s level as shown below. There is no need to be in other people\'s armies to participate in the battle. If there are available slots in your level tier, you will be able to join the fight by attacking the monster at least once. 

Levels 1-30 [40 max]

Levels 31-60 [25 max]

Levels 61-90 [20 max]

Levels 90+ [15 max]

Please note you can only be in 3 Epic World Monster fights at a time. However, you will still be able to participate in other Boss and Team Monster Battles while battling an Epic World Monster.

Siege Weapons: 

Siege weapons will be critical in slaying an Epic World Monster. There are five different siege weapons with each siege weapon doing progressively more damage than the previous siege weapon. Request assistance from your friends to help you construct and fire the siege weapon at the monster. Firing a siege weapon requires that the player have at least 1 stamina to help construct the siege weapon. Once the current siege weapon has fired, the next siege weapon will unlock and players will be able to request assistance from their friends again to construct the next siege weapon. Players can contribute once for each siege weapon. 

Catapult - Requires 10 people to construct and fire

Ballista - Requires 20 people to construct and fire

Siege Cannons - Requires 40 people to construct and fire

Blizzard - Requires 80 people to summon and fire

Firestorm - Requires 150 people to summon and fire

Last Stand - Requires 300 people to carry out
