Robotic Hand Helicopter

Like the Grand Theft Auto RC missions come to life, this helicopter can grasp objects for transport. They don’t have to be a special size or shape, and it can lift them even if they are not centered. This is thanks to a load-balancing hand (originally developed as a prosthesis) that relies on flexible joints and a tendon-like closing mechanism. As you can see in the video, the light-weight chopper has an on-board camera so that the operator can see what is being picked up. This little guy has no problem lifting objects that are over one kilogram while remaining stable in the air.

The researchers will present their results at the ASME Dynamic Systems and Control Conference next month. They will detail how the helicopter hand was able to pick up a wooden block successfully in 20 grasp attempts, even when the hand was not positioned over the block's center.

Hatred toward Filipinos ‘smacks of racism’ — HK daily

A newspaper in Hong Kong on Wednesday sought to ease the reported resentment felt by Chinese nationals toward Filipinos in light of the hostage crisis in Manila that left eight tourists from China’s special administrative region dead.

In its editorial Wednesday, the South China Morning Post said Filipinos are the “wrong targets" of the collective anger although it described the police force that handled Monday’s hostage situation as “incompetent."

“The actions of a unit of police commandos were not [the Filipinos’] doing. Tarring them with the same brush of incompetence isn’t right," the editorial read, adding that venting anger toward Filipinos “smacks of racism."

The editorial also scored the Hong Kong government’s response to the tragedy after placing the Philippines on its travel blacklist. 

My Beginners Course Guide: Uncharted Waters Online

This was one of the sensational videos now on youtube after Ms. Philippines (Venus Raj) was called in the Top 15 finalist in the Miss Universe Pageant.

I know that this is not the only people among many fans of Venus Raj who get wild when she was included in the Top finalist. Even though she only got on the 4th place, we're still so proud of you Ma. Venus Raj.

Hostage Crisis: A tragedy day for all.

Recently, there have been a major hostage crisis in the Philippines. At least 8 Hong Kong tourists were killed during a dramatic hostage siege in Manila lsat Monday.

The Local Government Secretary said that 4 out of 5 hostages who were brought to the Hospitals (Manila Doctors) were dead. It is not clear whether they were dead on arrival or expired at the hospital and the other one is in critical condition.

Four other hostages brought to 3 other hospitals--2 in Ospital ng Maynila, 1 in San Juan de Dios, 1 in Philippine General Hospital--were also killed, reports from radio station (DZMM) and the Manila Health Department said.

At least 7 of 15 hostages who remained on board the hijacked tourist bus as the hostage ended were being treated in 4 hospitals.

Tales Of Pirates 2

Tales of Pirates 2 is the sequel to one of the IGG’s first mmorpg’s, Tales of Pirates. ToP2 is nearly identical to its predecessor, but comes with upgraded graphics and an improved pet system. The ne client will allow continued development of new content, and characters from the original will be allowed to migrate to the new version. Tales of Pirates 2 has anime styled graphics and a traditional click-to-move control scheme. Players will spend most of their time grinding on land, but can tale to the seas on their very own boats and explore instanced dungeons later on.

Some people are neglecting the faq sections of every game they sign up, some of them already know the do’s and don’ts of a game. I say, it would be better to read them than become a stupid on the game. Well you can say that I am one of those people who sometimes neglect reading the FAQ/Help or Guide of a game. Sometimes it’s so boring to read, but in order for you to understand the Rules of the game, one should never forgot checking it.

Some people don’t need to read the Help/FAQ of a game. Usually, some games have the same rules, but if this is your first time registering to that game then it’s better to read the Rules/Guide.

1. MCC cosplay event is open to all event attendees.

2. MCC cosplay event will be an OPEN CATEGORY event where participants could cosplay any character that they want from any genre whether it's from an anime, manga, games, comics, movies, western animation, visual kei, harajuku fashion, etc. Pls. keep in mind that Original Characters are not qualified.

3. MCC cosplay event will be held on August 22, 2010. Both the INDIVIDUAL COSPLAY and the GROUP COSPLAY will be held on the said date.

4. The cosplay registration will be both an on-site/at-con registration and an online pre-registration. The on-site/at-con registration will be both on August 22, 2010. Please refer to the Cosplay Online Pre-Registration procedure on each category.

I heard this song in the middle of the night perfect for that ambiance. Even though I'm not a fan of Singapore bands and more into the japanese band like Larc en ciel. I guess if you really love music it doesn't matter what country they belong as long as they make a good music that makes people happy and inspired.

RO2, which started its open beta on May 28, 2007, used to enjoy such wide popularity that more than 100 thousand people logged onto the game's biggest fansite - "inven" within a single day, which's really amazing! Meanwhile, it also became the hot search term on the main portals, and was heatedly discussed in numerous online communities.
However, shortly after that, fatal bugs like the server safety problem showed up and made lots of players give up the game. Finally, RO2 scored 1.9 (the lowest score in history) out of 10 by 200 players on "inven", due to its insufficient game content and various operation problems.
