Top 5 Best Game Cosplayers

(The list is made only by me, they are arrange in no particular order so we can't say who's number one or not. They're just one of my favorite cosplayers around the world.)

I really wanted to have this kind of topic here in my blog that's why I'm on my deviant page most of the time browsing, looking for some great game cosplayer. I was lucky enough to spot some of them :). I did not make it TOP 10 coz it was hard to find cosplayers that really look like a game character. You would only see a few of them. I don't judge the looks of a cosplayer but on the way they carry their costume and the effort they have on making it. I like what maridah says on her journal when she was invited as a judge on the cosplay competition at the AX 2010.


"Considering how many over the top costumes were entered, it was tough."


"It all ended up coming down to construction and presentation in the end. How much was handcrafted as opposed to found/altered, how the seams were finished (did they pucker or had they been pressed correctly?), if glue was visible or had they hidden the evidence of attachment, paint quality, if armor was smooth and well shaped, etc,etc. The presence the costume was important as well. Did they wear that costume very well? Did they stand out in it? There were a lot of things to consider, and some kick-ass costumes didn't quite make the cut even though they might have won the best costume in some Masquerade shows."


"The standards were insanely high just by the nature of how many quality cosplayers entered. They set the bar for themselves. Though the biggest and flashiest might not have walked away with the top awards, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners were truly talented costumers who put as much effort into the manner of manufacturers they did in the overall look. That's the bread and butter of a Hall Contest, and the winners should be so proud of those wonderful costumes."

#1. Kamael of Lineage 2 by Malro

*This image was so gorgeous. I love how it has done, the pose of the character, the blending of the lights to the costume and the perfect background too.

#2. Animus Isis from Rising Force Online (RF Online) by ~pinkyluxun

*Your jaw will drop just by seeing this image. You will be surprise too if you learned how did she made this costume by herself and her friend only. You will not be able to see her wearing or entering this costume in any events because she said it was too revealing and it was so heavy that she may have a hard time wearing or walking with it in a convention. And beside she also labeled this as one of her “Private Cosplay” coz she’s really wearing nothing except the transparent fabric.

#3. Shiva Sisters from FFXIII by the-mirror-melts 

*So far, this would be the first Shiva Sisters that I have seen. I love how they made their costumes and the effort on making the headdress.

#4. Asmodian from Aion - Tower of Eternity by ~Ghostship

*If you read her tutorial on making that costume then you will be surprised. The money that she spent on making the armor is somewhat expensive and the long hours she spent carving it. I think it took her 2 or 3 months to finish this costume.

#5. ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom from Gundam Seed

*Our last cosplaye is this awesome Gundam. Unfortunately, I didn't find any information regarding the cosplayer wearing this suit. It would take you months in making this mobile suit and of course the money that you'll needing for the materials.


Whew that's it for now guys. I know there a lots of awesome cosplayers out there. This is just a light advice to all cosplayers or planning to be a cosplayer, I know it's not easy to be a cosplayer and sometimes others will criticize your cosplay. Don't mind them, the important is that you are enjoying and loving what you are doing.
