Uncharted Waters Online is an online game wherein you play in the Age of Discovery/Exploration period of Planet Earth (15th to 17th Century), where you are one of the Captain on voyage trying to open new trade routes, discover new exciting places, and the mapping of the planet. Of course, before you can have a conversation and establish a good trade with the peoples of the world, you need to learn their languages.

Learning a new language is simple, just visit any city and talk to the lords and ladies of any ‘houses’. As a clue, the names of these houses end up with the word ‘Estate’. Additionally, guild houses (Adventurer Guild, Maritime Guild, and Merchant/Trader Guild) also offer languages.

5th Lesson: Concerning Ship Parts (UWO)

Ship parts are your ship's version of equipment. Just as different equipment is worn on different parts of the body, different areas of the ship that can be outfitted with certain parts. There are six types of ship parts: studding sails, cannons, extra armour, special equipment, figureheads, and crests. In this shipyard, you can buy studding sails, cannons, extra armouring, and special equipment. But the experts here will be able to explain it better than I. Would you mind?

History of the Eye-patch =)

Have you ever wondered why most pirate captains or crews have an eye patch? Well I do, so I searched for some information and while I’m looking for valid reason I came across a joke thread which I was intrigue because the topic starter said the he already found the reason of pirates wearing an eye patch. Happy Columbus Day!!

Just another day have passed and im still a newbie to the game im playing...T__T

I didnt know it's Columbus Day tomorrow (OCt. 12) if not from the game Im playing, i wouldnt know it. Well, if you are familiar with Uncharted Waters Online, yup, that's the game im playing right now. Still it is, they are having an event in celebration with that. I remember this day when I was still playing Audition Dance Battle (NA server), they also have some kind of event for Columbus. :)

Just thought of sharing this coz i remember when I was in high school (i think), we're studying this in our history class. :)

The title of the event is...tada~
"FIND COLUMBUS' GOLDEN TREASURE"!!!

Its a special event of UWO, where you have to follow the famous explorer's sea route successfully then you will win a prize. Hmm, the event period is already starting, from Oct. 7-31, 2010.

Living Discovery in UWO

Below is the outline of the discovery process.

1. Acquire a discovery quest or get a map from the library.

2. Go to the location marked on the map or quest, then use the skills listed below.

3. Use ‘Recognition’ for ancient ruins, ‘Search’ for treasure, and ‘Encological Study’ for creatures.

Discovering Ancient Ruins

1. Go to the location marked on the map or quest. Enemies on the ground will iniatiate an attack if your ship stays within range for a period of time. There is no regional information besides the secured area on land. Be prepared for the unexpected.

Adventure Type (Inter and Master jobs): Uncharted Waters Online

Until now, i'm still confuse on how to get this job after you got to choose your beginners job. Anyways, you might as well look the Intermediate and Master job first before choosing from the beginners.

INTERMEDIATE JOBS

1. Missionary

Missionaries are dedicated to uncovering religious relics and visiting churches and holy sites around the world. Must have extensive knowledge in theology, along with skills such as recognition and searching in order to find religious sites.

2. Historian

A historian discovers historic sites or relics and researches them. An avid scholar in archeology and theology he is the best of both excavator and missionary.

The following are the type of jobs if you want to be a Merchant in Uncharted W. Online. You can choose a lot of job in this class.

UWO: Helper Quest Guide

Only few players have done this quest. This is where you will be given a gift of 100,000 Ducat in the bank but in order for you to obtained that, you must first activate the quest. How? That's what I'm going to tell on this blog. ^_~

This quest is very important to all newbies out there. After talking to each helper you will obtain an item that can be useful in doing some quest, sailing or even in the battle. 

Hope this helps. XD, Done this article by doing this quest and writing down all the NPC Helper says.

HELPER QUEST:

To activate this quest you must first talk to the first helper at the School. The one beside the Receptionist.

(This is the actual words that they say, I write all of it in the middle of the quest..^^)

1. School helper: 

-If this is your first time here, meet all the helpers in each of the cities. You can gain some knowledge and supplies from the helpers. I have Assorted fruits as a gift. They'll be helpful in your navigation.

-Use the Assorted fruits when you don't have enough vitality, and it will also cure sailors with scurvy.

-Go out and use the mini map in the bottom right corner of the screen to look for a helper in the market

*Then you will received 10pcs of Assorted fruits.

Adventure Type (Beginner jobs): Uncharted Waters Online

I'll be posting here the kind of jobs you can get on a specific class you have chosen, i think if you're going to change your job you should go to the GM (Merchant. Maritime, Adventurer) in a guild. You can buy it their but it requires a certain level of other skills.

I jus' recently know that th' movie Swashbucklers o' th' Caribbean (Pirates of the Caribbean) be made into a online games! After browsin' on some game battles in youtube, I came across t' this two mmorpg sea battles. Well, as o' now im playin' Uncharted Waters Online an' I did try t' sign up fer Swashbucklers O' Th' Caribbean but i think they had a subscription thingy an' I canna afford that..-__-

Oh well, here`s me good old question. Which game would ye choose? an' why? Of course you must watch their gameplay first. :)

My Beginners Course Guide: Uncharted Waters Online

Okay fellahs, it just came to my mind to make my own beginners course guide while I'm still doing that quest. But this guide doesn't include the whole game and this is only for the Merchant class. This isn't the start of the tutorial course coz I forgot to note them and I just remember it recently but the good thing is, i'm not yet of the middle part of the course. Let's start. XDD

Dang, the cbt is now open, but some of the forums I've posted an announcement of the game is telling me that i'm advertising the game. >_> Man, im just an avid gamer, anyone can do a review or post announcement of the cbt of any game that they like! =__=, Im so irritated to them.
